Before further action is taken? Seriously? If I treated my customers in my day job like this, pretty soon I would have no business. Whatever the REAL reason or this change, dressing it up as “for our safety” is an interesting “strategy”. I fail to see how using bank deposits raises the risks of being scammed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if it ain’t broken why “fix” it?
Michelle I don’t add shipping for some items because I don’t know the cost until it’s all boxed up and get a price from the post office (which is the only option for some smaller towns). It seems to me some enthusiastic shiny person didn’t think this through properly. I have always loved trademe but isnhas got progressively more difficult to navigate and this kind of forced change doesn’t go down well with a lot of older people who are probably the majority of trademe users. I hope you reconsider. It’s really not trademes business how the two traders organise payment, until it is???🧐🤨🤔
How will this work if you haven’t calculated the postage yet? Or is this just a way of forcing traders to use the trademe courier system? Forced behaviour. Forced tracking. Reduced options. Backwards move IMO.
Have I got this right? If so, what a stupid move…..are they purposely trying to wreck this site?
Replying to AJ above, the email I received once the item was sold has the correct amount. So it’s displaying the incorrect amount only when I go into my trademe and look at sold items. I am also unable to see any bidding details, where the seller is from or their feedback or anything. I think I will start a separate post where people can list things that aren’t right as we go along - would this be helpful? Then trademe can work through and correct. I guess when they change things it affects other actions they may not be aware of. (which is why it was probably best left alone lol)
Hi Meagan - I think you should ask trademe to reimburse you for the withdrawal fee. These faults are costing sellers extra money to try and get around the problems, all the best with your auctions.
Just another problem to add to the huge list of issues. Tonight I had an auction that I had just listed, the reserve was $40 and someone did the buy now for $45. When I look on items sold it says it sold for $40. Only it obviously didn’t sell for $40, that was the reserve and I had only just listed it and the buy now was $45. Looking at other auctions I sold, I can not see bids or anything. I don’t know what they are doing but the problems are getting worse. You can’t put any numbers like measurements in the questions as it says you are putting in phone numbers.
