Is this related to PING Payments perhaps and the paying 0.01 cents into those who use PING accounts? We have had occasions were we are getting pop ups telling us the amount of our Fixed Price Offers 'must' be less than the 'Buy Now" price which raises questions as to who is actually in charge of our information. Is it us as Consumers, or is it Trade Me? There needs to be clarification as to what exactly is Trade Me, and can they legally have such a control over it's users like this. Maybe some budding Legal students may like to take this on board along with other matters of questions aske...
Keith, it would be good if we could all do that. Another alternative is to go back to pen & notebook Leger style with a description of the items and details of purchaser. Sometimes those tried and true Paper based systems are more cost efficient as one doesn't need to log on to a computer, not worry about power outages or flat batteries trying to access accounts. Another option is to keep a USB dusk and itemise and detail sales that way, alas you will have to update it as you go..

Guess email providers settings auto bot pick up certain keywords and are dumping them where they choose too. AI in its advancing years needs a hit on the head out the door. It's function over reach to have our rights over ridden likely because of some person undertaking a Privacy program in another country that's now rolled out here - look up what's going on in Ontario, Canada with this in relation to Online marketplaces and also Know Your Customer programs. Oh this sounds like it's a wider internet Communications system issue. I wonder which countries our messages are been sent through? Perhaps some of you computer coding and savvy people can find out from previous emails that did come through.
Maybe they will learn from what's been happening with Courier Companies - including Aramex who have been discussed and used within Trade Me process Systems. The recent Commerce Commission Investigation and court proceedings resulted in a reprimand and fine. None of us know what's been going on behind the scenes that's resulted in the situation we find ourselves with PING. As an aside The Reserve Bank has some useful information in regards to Money, Cash and Banking systems, including Digital currency trials.
Why has this changed do you know Michelle? It has always been of benefit to see who is watchlisting to factor into account if that person is online 24/7, as in regularly, or perhaps someone who isn't internet savy, or living in an area where they don't have the same access to everyday internet provisions like some in here daily. It has been a key valuable service we have used to decide how many days to provide Fixed Offers and helped to generate smooth sales that have benefited all including Trade me.
Not sure if you can blame Rural buyers as it's also a Postal service and Courier delivery issue and that of Templates. Some of these challenges for us all go back to the era of Deregulation and Centralized of services which is when our Government signed contracts with Microsoft to provide digital services and we lost logic we had with Paper based Systems. We too have problems with some, generally newer migrants, Post office staff not knowing locations as they don't have the geography Education us locals were taught at school in NZ. Be understanding and explain it to your buyers.
