You could ask them to organise their own courier pick up so you dont have to pay the courier back
Just an update. I've just heard back from the buyer saying they "can not process the payment -- even if I want to do that ---- because the bank doesn't give me any other option - until I put the correct name to the connected correct numbers. AS I can not do anything about this--- you can relist the items." I actually sent them a snip from back actual bank statement showing my name and account number which is exactly what i sent to them. I also gave them the link to this post. They have not said whether the tried any of the suggestions so i assume they didn't including contacting their bank
If the item is under 70mm thick, you dont need to measure volume. It usually falls into the S or M depending on the size of the book. You can go to the NZ post website "rate finder" and put in the dimensions for the price. Take note that they usual display their courier price first, but look lower and you'll see their economy rate
You can do this on "my products", as well as many other useful things
Thanks Gary, will give it a crack this morning
Rachel, to answer your question - YES absolutely the seller is responsible. They have the contract with NZ post and they are required to get it to you. I have noticed recently that a few parcels I sent are "stuck" at the post shop for days (trackng states ready for pick up), and then all of a sudden its updated and then delivered shortly. If it was 10th, I wouldnt be panicing just yet. Its probably still making its way.
This maybe a stupid question, but has your product got a stock level of 0 causing it not to list? For me, if it doesnt list its either because of this otherwise there is sometimes a message stating why it hasnt listed (eg account in debit, missing info - eg DVDs forgetting to tick the nz classification button, too many words) - these are just examples ive seen
For casual sellers, you don't think its enough of a hand that trademe has dropped the success fee?
There is some logic with the buyer paying the service fee 1 some sellers believe if the buyer wants to use ping, they should pay for it not the seller. They do get extra benefits like buyer protection 2 most other auction places charge the buyer a "buyers premium" so it's not unusual in the auction world for a buyer to pay some form of "fee"
Buyers pay a small service fee if using ping and over $20 Service Fee tiers$0.00 - $20.00 = Free$20.01 - $100.00 = $0.99$100.01 - $250.00 = $1.99$250.01 + = $4.99
