I guess no one has provided a step by step how to because very few people would want to do this. Most people will list an auction to sell something, and aim for the highest price possible. Surely you would want the widest audience of buyers to do this. Blocking a site like bidbud just reduces your buyer audience which may result in either a loss of sale, its takes longer to sell or a lower price. It makes no sense to me why you would want to do this. I didnt really get this whole thread.  

Good news. Trademe has deleted the feedback so i feel vindicated. Thanks everyone for your views and advice. It's much appreciated to hear both sides of the argument

Yvonne - because its good practice (in my opinion) for someone I don't know to have my bank account number and full name including middle. Its not needed to make the bank deposit and the buyer can check my feedback to know that Im not going to do they dirty. Especially for a very low value sale

Is your question about the charge or that you cant see them listed? If its about being charged, go into your account summary and you can see what the charge was for. If it was about not seeing them listed, often they can sometimes take a little while to list. Try again in an hour or so  

In relaition to the security, condition and potential scams, I just refer people to my very high positive feedback rating. Yes I do realise I maybe excluding some buyers by not offering other payment options but im ok with that. The only payment option on my auction is bank deposit. Cash is not displayed as an option so noone should really expect to be able to pay cash, even though some do, and I do understand why people might They could argue that paying on pick up is not against my payment terms on the auction, and they would be correct. I think for privacy reasons they bank cannot confirm the details of the bank account. Did you get a partial match with the surname?

Why are you paying to list things, trademe works on the basis of paying when you sell things - or are paying for the extra services/high volume fees?

Not exactly right S, Trademe can revert it back it. What is correct is a trader cannot do it

I dont disagree with you Callum, and have seen similar suspicious feedback. However I have had people think Ive "obviously brought" feedback because they are all worded the same from similar people. I say yeh, I sold 10 things to the same person and they just copy and paste feedback - I do the same if I bulk buy. But people think its suspicious. Id like to know in the original poster's case, what the feedback was that made them think it was shill bidding to see if there is some good logic, or just some skepticism.

Simon, try out using MyProducts. Like others, I was reluctant to start using it as i didnt understand it and didnt want to learn something new. However, was going away for 2 months and didnt want to lose my auction details so it was really the only option. I used to waste time each day relisting my auctions but now its all done automatically via myproducts and it saves me so much time. When you understand its concept, its so easy to use and of course had some help from this wonderful community
