Most of my sales are via Buynow and they have selected one of the shipping options. When I check a sold listing on TM, thats often all I get (shipping option selected but no delivery address)Sometimes the address will appear the next day on TM / sometimes it's emailed directly to me.
ALL Trademe transactions are NZ bank account, sellers exchange rates are NOT the buyers or Trademe's problem. Yes you can have another TM account to serve as a "drop shipping" account but it has to be an "Ïntrade" status. The listing descriptions must clearly state the items are not stored in NZ & a clear estimate of delivery times is to be included.Shipping charges are within NZ based, you can't supply overseas shipping prices. All this must be confirmed with TM admin before you set up the account
The system has finely allowed me to recreate my old style templates
Sandra.Without sellers, theres nothing to buyThe entire upgrade cycle has been an abomination from the start. The workload for sellers has increase around FOUR TIMES more for doing exactly the same auctions, then before this "upgrade"The moment the parcel leaves the sellers place, the entire delivery timeline is up to the specific courier driver & company (Covid restrictions on a global scale has been a nightmare)Theres no way possible a seller can be held responsible for slow delivery, simply because the seller doesn't have the parcel & yet .. .. ... . TM is trying to nail down sellers to s...
Part of the problem with courier options, is the vast amount of options on offer within any specific courier service EXCEPT PasstheparcelMost couriers have up to 15 options.PTP only have 3 regions for all of NZ/ One weight rate & free bagsA little dearer but so much simpler to set up per parcel..Each delivery service has different boundrys that often cross over with each other & that includes NZ Post.Something else that makes it harder is that NZPost is the only delivery service allowed to deliver to PO box's
Yep, back to this trick for now. Each auction must be set for the correct category it the custom options won't hold if you change the category.Right, a tested solution at least in the short term & forget about the templatesOnce you have created your listing & built the custom shipping options, Duplicate the auction & re-edit the details(Except the warning as above hint)
Will have to use the std Shipping options. The shipping templates don't account for a few other delivery services & there's no way of restricting PO Box or Rural delivery'sThere's only ONE courier that does PO box's & that's NZ Post. There's NO direct Rural courier, it all pass's to the Rural serviceNo other courier or delivery agent is allowed to deliver to Po Box'sThe options of estimated delivery times sounds great for buyers but the reality is that buyers will SEE it as a confirmed time frame & sellers will get shot at for slow delivery services, (even more so with this setup)Da HECK. ......
Apparently ALL electronic payments via ph banking can be reversed same as credit card payments & NFC/swipe paymentsThey all have a 'cooling off" period
LOL yea I know.Trying to get that across to the buyer that he needs to make a fresh deposit while making sure he has the combo of enough funds and the correct details.
GeofferyCreating extra work, is what TM is very good at doing with the "new Look" Trademe. My workload had gone up 4 times more just to do the same extra stuff that I use to do on the old site.Agree about missing parcels but a lot of it comes down to the buyers for incorrect details or simply unsuitable locations for leaving parcels and then we have the buyers who ignore a couriers "card to call" and blame us for no delivery.
