One of the things TM did years ago was say it is essential to keep shipping costs low, so they added success fees to shipping, and what happened, shipping fees went up (of course). Now its compulsary ping, more fees and so shipping will go up again to compensate for additional fees

TM always do this when they go for a money grab, they come out with a "reason for the greater good" ie this time to make a safer site, and when they put success fees on shipping " to rein in those that charge cheap product price and hike the shipping to avoid success fees. While there maybe a a small element of truth in both, the reality we know it is only driven for the money grab, so weave a good story to justify it, and blanket punish all those by far majority traders who are good. Like many of us long term traders, as you say we have repeat buyers, and they go through tm but always pay to the bank account as they dont like ping. Now as they will only have a ping option, and they have my email address, they will now just come direct to me. In that respect good for me as I dont pay fees on that trade, bad for TM as they lose all the fees they normally would have got for those trades which were paid by bank deposit

Another valid question to ask is why do the extra prices only go on the proffesional sellers and not casual ones? Effectively they are saying the proffesional sellers are the bad boys and the casual sellers and good. Tom. Understand your sentiment there, but it is still a site for used stuff, but also extended into new items which is almost certainly its dominant part now, but that is driven by public demand. All websites evolve with the times or they die. However what gets most people is the constant increase in fees, with reducing margins, and also to a huge extent TM "fixing" the site which has been a disaster for years now with no end in site. He then has the option of paying you (after having dimensions to convince himself your request is genuine), or organising freight himself. Agree with Callum. Internationals get a lot of bad feedback, but if you read it, its often not justified. Lots of it is shipping related and buyer it seems has not read up the detail on the listing that it had long delivery times so seller got an unwarranted red due to buyer incompetance from not reading listing. As we all know once goods have left the seller, seller has zero control over delivery speed. I reflect sentiments of those above really. When Ping was introduced I was very sceptical ( tightass begrudging TM extracting more fees from me). However once I took it up was happy with it for its reasonable cost. Transactions flow smoother and quicker, refunds if needed are easily done. Also 80% of buyers use it, but I also accept some buyers don't want to for what ever reason so keep bank deposit option for them.
