Hi Betty, yes frustrating (we use desktop chrome/don't use the app) we had that issue last week. We advised trade me via clicking on the "tell us what you think" option. The two auction numbers were provided for them to look into it. We have noticed that when listing a new item the tick box to send payment instructions is unticked. Previously it remained ticked by default mode unless we unticked it. However since the recent upgrades have noticed that is not always so. When listing an item we check and double check it now. Obviously best for one to keep a cool head re slow payers as there ma...
Big thanks for your helpful comments Gary & S. Utilised the second question as suggested by S with a friendly educative approach. Trader purchased and trade ran smooth and slick. Looking at the lower value older cars for sale, potential buyers leaving their contact details in the questions appears to be rife. Which is why I came on here to double check before I acted on my situation. As you mentioned S it could make them vulnerable to being scammed. Your suggestion Gary re big print definitely worthy of a try, should be easy enough to implement. Hopefully TM might note your suggestion.
Hi dreamjewels, I see my earlier reply to you has gone into pending. hopefully it will clear for you to view soon. Cheers
Hi dreamjewels, some excellent advice from Callum here. I am a casual seller, just sell one off's mostly low value items. I factor in "times are tuff" currently for a lot of potential buyers. When pricing I make the starting price very close to what I would do a FPO for, if I was to do one in the future. Therefore that price is available to the widest number. It is worth remembering some watchers may have a similar item to sell themselves, so they just want to see what you get for yours. Nothing wrong with them doing that, quite legal, but they are very unlikely to ever purchase yours. A t...
Hello Pip, I have this morning, successfully edited the closing time on one of ours. We use desktop. It may be worth having another try. Good luck!
We too have noted an increase in rude nasty behaviour. Indeed have just now reported via the community watch button, one that not only was clearly in breach of the TM listing guidelines for a new item, refused to respond to the purchaser's emails, but then considered that he could then respond with abusive abbreviations via f/b and in his response to purchasers f/b. This was not re one of our trades but felt empathy for the purchaser. That seller is on our blacklist now as we do not wish to encounter him! The good old community watch button is still there folks (on desktop anyway) at the ba...
