Lachelle Use this link below and check addresses https://www.addresscheck.co.nz/ All Couriers have different Zones, so obviously the address you are trying to use is outside the Aramex Delivery Zone, so therefore it becomes Rural as they have to hand it over to NZ Post to deliver, hence the rural charge, Some NZ Post addresses are also Rural, but not Rural for Aramex, so it works both ways,
Rinel If I was you, I would give Trade Me the heads up & raise your concerns on how you feel about this buyers actions, and feeling like it maybe a scam to be refunded if it goes missing, Contact them tomorrow on Chat. as they will note it on the buyers account, as if it could be a scam, their account may indicate concerns raised before on this buyer, which Trade Me will see, but not disclose, but it will be on their account for the future if others have concerns, So many scams going on lately, you can never be too careful,
This is one reason, I am just sticking to the old templates, Then if things change, I can just put a note on my footer like I have now, and running auctions with no Buy Now's, I will not be held to ransom with the new templates with shipping times, if something goes wrong and you are unable to ship?, as it does sometimes with odd night in hospital, I have a bit of leeway, as do state I do not ship everyday, But as you stated above Gary their shipping times should not be hidden in their payment Instructions, If they have done it for security reasons, as not to advertise their absence on au...
Also, just another note, some watchers opt out of the Fixed Price Offer E-Mails, so do not get notified, so if they do not know they have been offered an item they cannot decline it either, so not always a case of can't be bothered, It is a case of they don't know they have been offered an item, or have not been online to see they actually have fixed price offers, Blacklisting watchers in reality is a waste of time, and a possibility a lost sale, as may be an item on their wish list, hoping one day they can actually buy it, but now is not the right time, Other thing is a lot of us have 2 ac...
George It appears you have gone over your free listing allowance, More information on your allowance can be found here https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007000752-Your-listing-allowance
As Callum, ask Trade Me to remove it, rather than Community watch your auction, it is quicker to go via chat, as action on community watch seems very slow theses days, sometimes no action before an auction closes. Also if it is member who has been on Trade Me for many years with lots of feedback who should better & know the rules by now and is possibly a serial offender for doing it, I have known to blacklist them, Less seasoned traders, likely not up to date on all rules, although there is a warning when you go to ask question, I just get question removed, But I never engage in their reque...
Yes place negative feedback as a warning to others, I placed negatives 2 yesterday for Items I won and sellers pulled out, both times I got Trades Mes involvement, as the excuses did not mount up at all?, but most likely already sold off site, one had been paid for too,
Tom I feel your pain, One buyer wanted combined shipping, I asked her to please send your address via Trade Me Not in E-Mail so I can confirm Shipping Response : Yes Carol I will be happy to do this, however as I have won two of your auctions, I need to know the total cost of shipment please. Some just have no idea we need an address so we know where we are sending, as may need an alternative carrier, or indeed it may be Rural, I do not just give a quote, Some argue Trade Me has sent it, when they bid or accept a FPO, I have quite a few at moment I am waiting on Addresses,
Sarah Contact Trade Me via Chat, in this case buyer did not ask if you will ship to Australia, You did not have a Shipping option for Australia, Trade Me will allow you to cancel the trade, and they will refund your fees. I had an Aussie buyer use buy now on 5 items, no problem getting them cancelled, as I do not ship out side NZ, and now have it clearly stated in shipping options Australian buyers must ask sellers first if they will ship to Australia, if seller does not have a shipping option for Australia,
Malcolm But there is already the cart option, which most of us choose not to use as sellers for various reasons, different size items etc, ( what is good for the goose may not be good for the gander) you cannot compare Trade Me which is an Auction site to Big online companies, we are not all big stores, It is an auction side where bidding wars happen, not just buy now and add to cart, It will work for some but not for others,
