Im sure its only possible to offer ping if you have a ping account registered. Probably the seller made the account sometime ago and did not use it and forgot about it. On the desk top if they go to "My trademe, and look down the page to "my accounts", they will see the ping account to the right side of the TM account. On the app, they click on "my trademe" on bottom menu bar. They click on profile and account. In the balances section you can see the ping balance. Click on it and in the first section you can see transactions line which you can click on. This will then bring up all the ping ...
So are merchants leaving Q card as the fees are perhaps more expensive than other cards, there obviously must be a solid reason for this happening if not the fees
Clearly the loose stitching was in the photo on the listing so part of the description. Would this reasonably have lead to a hole, or has buyer poked a hole in it to emphasise the damage in hope of better negotiation. It seems they want the item but are just trying to get a part refund and then they will mend hole. Sometimes where both sides say other is responsible, best option is to negotiate a small price deduction (that recognises the time they take to stitch 6 stitches) rather than get into the game of return shipping etc
Generally couriers have $2000 claim limit/ parcel. If you look on aramex website , click tool drop down menu and then claims guide. Some couriers cover less such as Passtheparcel. When a buyer pays you for shipping, you have entered into a contract together for goods to be delivered by the sender. If parcel is not delivered, the sender has not met their part of the contract. The buyer cannot make a claim on the courier as the sender has the contract with the courier company, not the buyer
Jenny. I think you will find it not legal to ship goods but not take responsibility (as well as being against TMs regulations). If you accepted the money for shipping, you are responsible for it to be delivered. Maybe you dont accept any aramex bookings, or you pack item , give buyer weight and dimensions, and then they can book and pay for courier, and that way you get rid of courier responsibility
One of the big issues about "no contact " is the email they use on TM is not the one they use in daily life. So you may send umpteen emails to a traders registered TM email address , but they are simply not using or looking at that account as they have another everyday email account and dont have the 2 accounts linked. Another very annoying issue is often traders have a full inbox, so it will not accept your email, it just bounces back. Again this is often on the "rarely used" TM registered account, so they are blissfully aware there is any problem
You will have to ppay success fees on shipping in an IT account. Also if you are GST registered, 15% of sale price is GST to be declared
Seems to be issues on both sides here. The buyer needs to recognise they are rural with the courier the seller uses after seeing the screen shot, the fact nobody has charged them rural in the past is not relevent, its what that courier zones you as. For the seller , there maybe many reasons they don't have another courier available (one maybe that they already posses prepay tickets and reasonably dont wish to out lay more on shipping when they already have it prepaid). The $50 "handling" to change to another courier is just however bunkum. However I can imagine it may cause considerable inc...
Yes this a common occurrence. Usually done in error but not always. Just send an email thanking them for the purchace and noting they made an error in paying urban when rural. So then first suggest that they supply an alternate urban address (many more receptive to that as not demanding $s), and if not possible let them know the extra rural amount required and the account to be paid into
Thanks Gary. just been doing some googling myself. Found a bit that said under access agreement, all couriers are allowed to deliver to both PO box and Private bags, although many courier brands will not do so
