Then if you click "Get Funds" you are sent to another page which has the major banks icons. This takes you to the internet banking login page. The page you get directed to is an EXACT copy of the genuine internet banking page. The only way you would know you are not on the correct page is the URL which is fake. From here the scammer will harvest your internet banking details, then presumably use those to clean out your account...........
Sellers can blacklist for whatever reason they want. Yes, for some that can include asking for a discount. Sometimes asking a question highlights a potential buyer to a seller and the may also blacklist for other reasons. Like if your feedback isn't looking too flash.
My tip is about making good searchable titles. Get as much detail as possible in your auction title to help you get bumped up the search results list. "jeans for sale" as your title won't get you much love "Levi's men's 501 jeans indigo blue wash size 32 (NZ 82)" is far better Search these days focuses on the title so use all the room you can to cram in what you think people might search for. Have a think about when you search for something how you would do it then copy that over to your title. Descriptive words aren't that useful really either. Nobody really searches for "awesome jeans" so...
Some really good tips there. Another option to consider is having a popular, high selling, low price item to keep your sales up. Even if you are selling an item at cost or only making 10c per item it can allow your listing allowance to increase for your other items. Can be better than the risk of losing money on $1 reserves. Take a peek at large sellers feedback and see what they have that is popular. Think about what you are always needing or buying. Consider reducing your best selling item to see if it will generate even bigger sales. Think phone cables, covers, protectors, inks, batterie...
Hi Gary. To answer you correctly we first need to know if the item is actually faulty. The buyer only has rights under the CGA if there is a problem with the item. So it is not working 100% correctly or wasn't described correctly. From what I read it sounds like it's more a "change of mind." In that case they have no rights under the CGA. You don't have to refund at all. Additionally, they can't demand a refund even if there is a problem with it. It is your right as the seller to repair, replace or refund. For your second question, a buyer can leave negative feedback if they feel the trade ...
Hello Andrew. That is just a warning that comes up. It is not a restriction at all. Many banks recently added this warning. In response to current scams where people have a fake legitimate sounding name, that has nothing to do with the actual bank account the money is going into. In New Zealand there are NO CHECKS DONE on names to account numbers. Hence the warning your buyer is seeing. The buyer can put anything they want in the name field. "Mickey Mouse" will work and the payment will still go through...............
Hi Rahbeka. The obligation for this one lies strictly with the seller. Even legally so if they were "in-trade". Glass is a very tricky thing to send. Unless the packaging was good. Very very good, you might find the claim gets rejected by NZpost anyway. So you need to be hounding the seller, Forget about NZ Post. You paid the seller to get an item to you in good condition. They didn't do that. They need to sort it. Sounds like you are doing all you can at this stage. Just keep the pressure up is about all you can do.
Hi Belinda. If it's a caravan, and listed in the correct category you can add a phone number. There is a dedicated place to do it. I wouldn't put it in the description. That will allow anyone on earth to view it. You will likely get scam attempts from abroad. Edit the auction, put a tick on the box of the phone number(s) you wish to display and add them.
The potential buyer is not supposed to put their phone number there. You can ask TradeMe to remove it. Community Watch your auction and find the subject that says contact details are being shared in the Q&A
The problem is it's all very well reporting people, but sometimes it seems nothing happens. Or it happens very slowly. Perhaps there's things going on "behind the scenes" but I've been reporting a couple that are very clearly in-trade for a while with no action yet. For example you might be interested in buying a GoPro Hero 13 Black Creator Edition for $920 This seller is particularly bad because they're dropshipping as well without permission.
