TradeMe once contacted me after 3 months to say a buyer was unhappy with the goods they bought.I thought surely they couldn't pressure me into refunding the buyer after all this time. But no I was wrong they kept putting the pressure on me to contact the buyer so I did & got them to send back the item in which I refunded them in full once returned. So in answer to whether you are still protected after 45 days then my answer is YES you are especially if you hound TradeMe for a refund. The funny thing about it they wouldn't have had any way of knowing who the seller was if I hadn't left feedback...
I have checked several of my auctions & they all have the tick box checked with the footer message which is in my Settings page which of course is also ticked. But the footer message doesn't appear at all on any of my 600 + listings.I can't experiment with one listing ending shortly as I'm going away for a week on monday week & I don't want to relist till I get back.I certainly will stay away from the CSV option as my knowledge on these things is poor.I'll have to get in touch with TradeMe as in the past I have managed to load the footer successfully when I was using it a few years ago.Thank...
Yes.In the settings tab it has my footer text. Not sure why it's not working as each time I download it to all my listings it states it has been done successfully & yet nothing shows up ? Anyway thanks Gary for your help.If nothing shows up tonight I'll have to contact TradeMe tech. support.
I do not know what I'm doing wrong. It states I have successfully updated all my listings with the listing footing setting but I go live to my listings after waiting 15 mins. or so & there's nothing there. If I go to one of my listings on the "My Products" page the box is ticked for the footing message but it's not there.I have tried about 3 times now & haven't been successful.I haven't tried the "extra full stop or an edit" Gary as I don't know how to do this ?
Thanks very much Gary.Much appreciated.Just did what you suggested & it appears to be successful. Not there yet but I'll look again in 15 mins.
I agree with Callum.Sellers should not be adding a $1 to every purchase on top of the original combined rate on small items. This to me indicates they are profitting on shipping. The whole idea of "intrade" sellers being charged success fees on shipping was to stop this.Oh wait that's right, from what I've seen a lot of casual sellers are doing this !!!
Wouldn't you now.I tried again this morning before going to work & now the adress has been acknowledged so I was successful in "booking a courier".Must have been a TradeMe glitch last night.Didn't have to change the adress at all, just the original one sent by the buyer.I wasted an hour last night trying everything.Oh well all's well that end's well.
The stupid thing is that it will allow me to get to the usual options with NZ Post & Aramex & then when I submit the button I get " The pick up or delivery address needs updating" Usually if the adress is wrong it goes straight to this rather than going to the next stage.
Looks like I will have to go into a NZ Post Shop tomorrow & buy one of their bags as there is a glitch with the adress when "booking a courier".This happened a few years back with another adress but since then I have sent 1000s successfully till tonight.
I'm sure what Janine is doing is correct.I had exactly the same issue with an adress with a PO Box number.Everything was correct according to the NZ website. It was the correct post code, the 5 digit po number was also accepted by the NZ Post website but as soon as I tried to "book a courier" it rejected it.I tried other ways to get it accepted but failed.I have sent hundreds of parcels by "book a courier" with no issues till that PO Box adress. All my other bookings before & after to a PO Box number have been successful.I had to go to my local NZ Postshop to send it.
