There are certain auctions (seems to be the new format) where you can't even place a bid on "bid bud" as it states you can't due to new Trademe rules.Anyone else experiencing this ? Just tried logging on & the site is still down.
Tonight I had a similiar experience.I won an auction which has a reference number of KP-**** & can't be viewed on my laptop (desktop site).I can only access the auction in my sold items on my mobile.Tried to bid before on "Bid Bud" but it wouldn't allow me as it states that TradeMe has changed their rules around bidding from this site ! Once the auction finished it also vanished from my lists.Not sure what's going on but it's a bit of a worry as when Trademe brings in new features,glitches start appearing regularly.
Wouldn't you now.I tried again this morning before going to work & now the adress has been acknowledged so I was successful in "booking a courier".Must have been a TradeMe glitch last night.Didn't have to change the adress at all,just the original one sent by the buyer.I wasted an hour last night trying everything.Oh well all's well that end's well.
The stupid thing is that it will allow me to get to the usual options with NZ Post & Aramex & then when I submit the button I get " The pick up or delivery address needs updating" Usually if the adress is wrong it goes straight to this rather than going to the next stage.
Looks like I will have to go into a NZ Post Shop tomorrow & buy one of their bags as there is a glitch with the adress when "booking a courier".This happened a few years back with another adress but since then I have sent 1000s successfully till tonight.
The only options I get is "Buyer has not made contact We'll send your phone number to the buyer, and ask them to get in touch with you.Your phone number" No mention that they'll ask them to e-mail me like what they use to.Are you saying that the mobile phone number is only one option of contacting me & that e-mailing me is another option if I don't include my ph. number ? Cheers.It's not what I'm use to.
My last few requests only has the option of sending them my mobile number.There is nothing there to say they will send a e-mail to the buyer.There used to be but not any more.Not sure if other sellers have had this issue ?
TM doesn't seem to e-mail the buyer now if you request a success fee refund if the buyer hasn't made contact.The only option they give me now is for them to send my mobile number to the buyer & requesting they make contact.The last thing I want is for a trader who is likely not to complete trade to have my mobile number which can leave you open to scams e.t.c.
I'm sure what Janine is doing is correct.I had exactly the same issue with an adress with a PO Box number.Everything was correct according to the NZ website.It was the correct post code,the 5 digit po number was also accepted by the NZ Post website but as soon as I tried to "book a courier" it rejected it.I tried other ways to get it accepted but failed.I have sent hundreds of parcels by "book a courier" with no issues till that PO Box adress.All my other bookings before & after to a PO Box number have been successful.I had to go to my local NZ Postshop to send it.
There is a "intrade" seller on the site which I will not name as it's forbidden who has counteracted the forced ping & cash only by starting another trademe account but this time going "casual" to avoid all the fees & to have only cash & bank deposit options.They have exactly the same TradeMe name as their"intrade" name but has added "1" to the end of it ! They are selling exactly the same things as their "intrade" account & to top if off they state on all of their auctions (both accounts) to pay by bank deposit only & have even given out their bank account details on the actual auctions th...
