I've had a couple of these over the years and it's annoying. this one in particular on every listing you have would seem to be a level of harassment with over loading of messages to you. I hope TM can do something about it. Here's something I tried tho'. Use sell similar item from your unsolds instead of relist or quick relist. Then leave your unsolds with a note to you not to relist them so you don't double up. It looks to the watcher, from their items I lost page as if you haven't re-listed? Worked for me on a couple :)
I agree dapuff. The communication for these changes has been poor.
I can't see who I am offering to either. So I am not sending them anymore. Have to enter my suburb in shipping page. Why? then I cannot quick relist at auction close as it tells me I must enter shipping options. I HAVE selected the only options I can from the drop downs locked in by trade me. This is a bit of a mess.
Thanks for your comments S. But I have deleted the affected auctions now. I'm a little over the time needed to sort these things in a long winded manner or try to find a workaround. Have done tell us what you think for ages since we lost functionality on some things. Sorry but I am not a fan of make an offer. Do appreciate your help though!
I could see that could be a real problem! Functionality issues that many trade me members have on the new look have not yet been remedied. Perhaps amending those before providing a rather odd tweak that could jeopardize or create a dispute, with proof removed. Perhaps someone got tired of being asked to remove questions?
Hi Lei. You could always talk to Trade Me via Contact Us, Live Chat, real person option as to why the seller is using their 'contacts' at Trade Me to put you on the back foot. That's a bit off. Sounds like it might be BS. Sorry you had this happen. Might have been a lucky escape.
Hi Liz. That would make me uneasy too. As you say I would report them and send their emails to Trade Me as well. they have refused to pay so I would ask for a success fee refund and use the trade is not going ahead option. And blacklist them. I am sure Trade Me will back you on this one. Good luck!
there have been a number of posts about this.... Try this thread for some tips or pop cannot list car in the search box... https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/community/posts/4413127878029/comments/4763759019161
They probably just bid to what they could afford. Like you did. There is no way they can know what your auto-bid is until they go over it so they probably just gave up on it. I don't see any reason for it to be a scam. And I can't see any proof of 'foul play' in your post for Trade Me to follow up on.
I would not offer refund as photo is proof of delivery. You won't be able to claim from the courier with this proof. You can still work through some things tho. Does the photo (has the buyer seen it?) indicate clearly where it was left? letterbox or elsewhere? This happened to me a couple of times and I got the party to check around the area again, and, to ask if anyone in the house had bought the parcel in. Both my parcels were found. One was sitting on the doorstep half an hour later! The other had been picked up by a family member.
