I'm not getting instant notifications for new listings for my favourites

Hi Craig,
I work with the team who made getting push notifications for Favourites possible. We're so pleased to hear you like the feature and have been using it!
I can confirm there is a rate limit of 5 notifications per hour, per person while we're in the rollout phase for this work. This is so our systems don't get overwhelmed while we're feeling out how many notifications people want. Don’t worry, we will be raising this in future.
In the meantime, we recommend using push for your most important Favourites if you have a bunch of them, or refining your search down a bit if that's possible. The Favourites email summary works like it always has, so any that you miss will be sent to your inbox like usual if you have that set up.
Android phones can automatically limit push notifications, so if you're using one that will be something to look out for too.

Thanks. Yes it is a good feature to have and should be better when the rate limits increased. It would be great if the email could be instant (or hourly too in the future)

Hi guys, i see there is a selection option to turn off instant notifications on your favourites categories but it doesnt save your selection. I don't want instant notifications on many of my favourites - how can i stop this from coming through? I assume there should be a "save" button once you select whether to turn on Instant Notifications for a particular favourite that is currently missing?

When you go into Notifications (Iphone) you see Notifications and you can choose None or Instant. Just choose the one you want and click on Done (Right hand corner) and works fine (for me).

Nice - its that "Done" button I need to find. I wonder if thats an android issue or a Samsung Fold issue...

If you zoom out of your screen does the Done Tab appear Or a scroll bar to page down?

Afraid not, its like a pop up screen. Top right has a "X" which closes that box. A bar at the top center can aldo be dragged to close that box. You can select none or instant reminders & email preferences. But no done button or downward scroll bar... pity i cant upload a screen grab here

Thanks Craig - where your done button is i have an "X" to close the pop up. Unfortunately pressing this does not save the setting for me it just closes the pop up. Would love to see if anyone has a screen shot on a android phone or is this a Samsung Fold issue.

Tried it on an Android and I found a bug
If you go editing the favourite by going into Favourites and clicking on then little down arrow on the right hand (Very hard to click) it shows both None and Instant but none are highlighted.
But if you go into the favorite by clicking on the word on the left and then to to the heart up the top you can switch between None and Instant (The X on the Android is the same as the Done on the IPhone) and it works (i went to my iphone and refresh and it's shows I changed it)

Yes under the heart menu the "none" remains highlighted.
Interestingly if you check under the email envelope menu the instant / none remains unhighlighted. Hopefully thats looked at in future by Trademe but this will hopefully do the trick in stopping constant notifications come through to my phone.

I'm having problems with saved searches and other favourites for a few months now - if I do receive emails notifiying of new listings the refinements I made to the search, e.g. size, location etc aren't working and I just get all the listings for a particular search or I don't get any email notification at all - have tried deleting the search and resaving and still doesn't work. Have also tried on the App as well as desktop version and neither seem to work. I contacted Customer Support over a month ago and they advised it was a bug they were working on - but it's still not fixed.
