After item was sold I didn't take the auction down
No one bid on my Auction. The first person who contacted me and came to see the item bought it. I did not know what the procedure was after sales and the auction remained up while I tried to find out what to do. A couple of days later someone posted 'If this item has sold please take the auction off' that person then placed a bid for the asking price, even though twice on the Q&A and on the photo I had put SOLD. So now the auction has finished with him as the buyer and he is asking when he can pick it up. Any answers to this one please.

This is the problem when something has been sold without going through Trademe. The usual way to do things is to withdraw the listing from Trademe once it's sold. Auctions are meant to be completed on site by bidding or using Buy Now. You have to now choose which of the people you are going to upset and of course the one that has gone through Trademe will now be able to place negative feedback if they are unhappy with what you decide to do.

I did sell through TM, it was the first person who asked to see it in the Q&A, I was just unsure of the procedure after the sale was made, and incidentally, I believe the the person who placed the question to take it off did this out of spite.
Thanks for the answer

Mike, selling through Trademe for an auction means someone places a bid or uses Buy Now and the items moves from being live and able to be bought by someone else, to your Sold items folder. The item then also appears in the buyers Won items folder.
