Using Afterpay from same buyer for more than one item
AnsweredHi,
Just curious, does anyone know how to purchase multiple items from one seller using Afterpay method?
The only option I've seen is that you have to click the "buy now" button for each item as individual purchases to have Afterpay method appear as form of payment. Where as, if I were to add items to the cart method for multiple items, I am given the only option of either credit card or ping as payment.
Has anyone found a fix for this?
Cheers

There is no fix Justin. It is not possible to use after pay on more than 1 listing at a time, so they must be paid individually. You could ask the seller to create a new listing for you with everything together in one, but this can get messy for the seller and lead to withdrawl fees etc, so is not a good option. After pay on the shopping cart has been a request since after pay started on here.

Thanks for your reply Gary and you are right as I found out the hard way last night....
I used Afterpay to pay for 2 out of 3 orders from the same seller, and on my third purchase, my order was declined. Furthermore, I went to use Ping afterwards and it too declined. The total for this order was $8.08cents
After logging into my Afterpay account again and repaying the total amount of what I had already purchased earlier with $5.51 yet to be repaid, my ping order for my third purchase went through without a hitch.
You are correct that I should of contacted the seller to make an individual listing and I can see why how it got messy too. Me thinks this could be due to the seller offering different combo prices for each order rather than just one price for all and of course other factors like fees too need to be accounted for.
So unfortunate that TradeMe doesn't offer the same functionality (as with many e-commerce stores online) when adding items to the cart, you can use Afterpay as well.
Lesson learned for the future....

Yes, it can be a tricky one. If you bought from different sellers via your cart it would complicate the transaction too as one card transaction being split between different sellers might cause problems. Still, should be a piece of cake to at least allow Afterpay via the cart if buying from one seller.
