Truck parts and accessories
AnsweredWhen I try and list a specific truck part on the sell site it asks for the truck details such year, gross vehicle mass, etc.
The point is that I am a retailer in truck parts only not complete vehicles, I am only selling one particular part.
To list a part I must do it in the general Motor, Parts and Accessories and my ad gets lost amongst a multitude of general auto parts.
How do I get around this?

Lindsay, there is a particular category for truck parts, Motors - Trucks - Parts & accessories, rather than general auto parts (cars). I would imagine that just like car parts, generally people need parts asap so they would narrow their search to at least the same island, and new or used, then put in the part they were after. eg if I wanted a starter motor for a Hino truck, i would go to the parts category and search for Hino starter which returns 20 results so no need to narrow location down, but obviously some parts may return more results so you may need to use the filters further and sort order.

Hi Gary
Thanks for that, and I have been trying to place an ad on that category (Motors-Trucks-Parts & Accessories) as I pointed out in my post. But, as I also said it, asks for details as if I was listing a complete truck.
Please review my post and comment again.

Yes, the Year and Gross are not compulsory fields, they don't have a red * beside them so if they don't apply you don't need to enter anything there.
