Do counter offers stop after first bid?

Offers are only valid before reserve price is met. Once reserve is met, the item can no longer have an offer accepted, for obvious reasons.

Thanks Gary,
Does that also apply to counter offers? I did see an FAQ that mentioned what you said but it confused me as it didn’t mention counter offers. (I should’ve mentioned that.)

I don't see the sense in not allowing offers after the reserve is met, further bids are accepted why not offers?

So you are ok Tony to be leading the bidding merrily for up to 10 days on an auction with reserve met, then someone comes along and offers something which is accepted by the seller and auction closes. Hardly seems worth placing a bid if someone was allowed to do that.

But someone can come along and outbid you - same thing.. I don't see the point in having "Offers" under the stated conditions.

Just wondering how do you win an auction with reserve met but then they send you a offer higher of the winning bid can someone please direct me to read information around this as i won $1.50 for an auction then they sent me an offer for $11.50 have i not won the auction already

That can't happen normally, so something has gone wrong. If you have the email saying you won at $1.50, then that's what you won at. Normally if the seller has more they can send an offer to all other bidders/watchers, but the winning bidder never get's an offer, or that how it usually works.
