Seller not declared as international seller

Hi there. Trade Me do allow some sellers to do this on written application. However unfortunately despite us asking for a badge or something there is no easy way to tell if they do have permission or not to be a dropshipper.
What they do need to do is state within the auction itself that the item is coming from overseas. If they haven't done that you can cancel the deal and let Trade Me know.
Here are the relevant parts from the T&C that the seller needs to comply with
++++++++
2.1. Offer Ping or Afterpay as the only payment option in any listings where you use drop shipping.
2.2. Clearly state within any listing the country the items will ship from.
2.3. Clearly outline within the listing description that customs import charges may apply to the listed item.
2.4. Clearly state how long the item will take to arrive (an estimated delivery timeframe is sufficient) and only charge a reasonable shipping cost.

I thin k these folks should not be listed as a local trader, there should be a sep category for people who sell items outside of NZ

Thanks, Michelle. Yes we have been asking this for years. Trade Me, so far, aren't budging.
To me it's verging on misleading when you have a filter for New Zealand, when it doesn't get rid of all those items that are actually being shipped from overseas.

Thanks for this post, it just happened to me and i didnt know what to do about it. The seller appears to be in the same city has me, has 'nz' in their name but the item is coming from china. And i wanted it to arrive before christmas but theyre estimating January :/

Hello Lia. Sellers that are approved as dropshippers need to have it clearly stated in the description that the item is coming from overseas, which country is is coming from, and an estimated shipping time. If that wasn't there you should cancel the trade and report the seller to Trade Me.
If they did have that stated, but you just didn't read it then you can still contact the seller and ask that you cancel the trade because you don't think it will arrive in time. In that case though it will be at their discretion if they do cancel and refund you.
