Trade Me Tip – Receiving payment from your buyer
PinnedWhen you’ve sold your item, be sure to pass on your payment details to the buyer if need be. With Ping, they can pay you instantly but if you’re using bank transfer you will need to pass on your account information to them. You can set up Payment Instructions on your account to automatically be sent to your buyers, or you can email them individually. If you’re waiting on them, remember to check your Junk and Spam folders on your email.

Hi Lynda, you can edit your bank account in your payment instructions by clicking here – just enter the new info. If you want to change or add your bank account on Ping, you can do that here.

Lucy, the big problem here is that TM do not make the payment instructions obvious. There is a copy in their won items, but many people dont look in their won items folder. And on the email the buyer gets from trademe notifying the buyer of their purchace, the payment instructions are hidden under the guise of a nondescript tiny clickable link saying"view" or "further information". So buyers dont know to look there. Buyers need the payment instructions printed out at the base of the email from trademe, like they always used to be but are not now. Trademe need to step up and do a much much better job instead of causing grief to buyers by hiding this information.

Thanks Don. I've read what you and Gary have said about this feature here and in the other post. I'm passing all of this on and would encourage other members who would like to see this to upvote your post and join in the discussion over on the Product feedback and ideas topic.
