PING and Xero invoice reconciliation?
We have never used PING as we are a GST registered company with all invoicing through XERO. The Ping payments no longer match the customer invoices so don't reconcile? TradeMe commission has always been paid as a COGS. Ping is not a bank, so cant be a bank fee? How do others process this cluster?

I think Ping can be considered a bank fee for accounting purposes, as it's essentially a payment processor fee. There is no GST charged by Trade Me on Ping fees.
I think you would need to use the adjustments option when reconciling payments to invoices and record the Ping fee as a bank fee.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on that!

Kia ora depotdirect, you are correct, Ping fees are exempt from GST, you can find this info on your Manage Ping page:

Hi!
Not sure if this helps anyone, but I do all my Recon through MYOB for this business, and MYOB and PING are not really good friends so I have had to perform all sorts of workarounds to make it smooth. I actually process PING payments using customer discount in the payment field as this allows the fee to zip through and I have setup customer discounts as GST free. It works for my system at least. Frankly it is another reason PING bothers me as there are so many extra steps to take from the accounting and bookkeeping..The good news is I am getting charged by Trademe for the extra time I need to take to balance my books. **Sarcasm detected** - anyhow, all that aside, entering the PING fee as Customer Discount as opposed to bank fee worrks for my system, maybe that would work for someone else.
