Receiving payment from Australian buyer using Ping ?
AnsweredHello, can i please have some help and information re. buyers from overseas (Australia) and how payment can be made. I have a person who wishes to buy items from me (one sale) and wondering if should list on trade me (as Australians can register/sign up to trade me ? - is that right? ) so can be straight forward with payment if payment can be made via Ping? Is that an option and if so i presume the difference in $ amount between the 2 countries is automatically calculated at the time of 'pinging'. And does it show straight away ? Any help and information is greatly appreciated. thank you

Yes, Australian buyers can buy on Trademe using Ping. Best of course to have post rates to Aus on the listing before buying as Ping amount can't be altered after the purchase. I find most Australian buyers do ask before buying, so then it's just a simple matter of adding postage for that item and if they want several items it's easy enough to make one new listing for everything they want with one postage amount to Aus. All prices shown and processed on Trademe are in NZD so the buyer will know to convert from their local currency, much like what happens when we buy from overseas. Not sure what you mean by showing straight away, but have a look at the Help pages to do with Ping.
