Trade Me listing an AI chatbot as a real person?
browsing any dealership vehicle listing, a chat window pops up. In the top banner it states "chat to a real person!", but then at the bottom of the window it says powered by drivechat, and is clearly not a real person. Is this intentional misleading behavior meant to trick people into a false sense of security ? What actions will be taken to correct this?

Kia ora bc615, thanks for flagging this, the chat window is a tool dealers are able to offer on their listings so that people viewing cars on Trade Me can chat to customer support at the dealership where the vehicle is being sold. There's a bit of information about it here and you can find out how it works here, but yes, you can speak to a real person.
