"Location" Vs Actual Location of goods for sale
AnsweredHave ppl noticed an influx of profiles saying they are based in NZ, but then put in their small print that they are actually based overseas or that the products are shipped in from overseas?
Shouldn't the "Location" be where the actual goods are located?

Yes, the location of where the goods are, should be used for searches but unfortunately the location on Trademe for searches for things to buy etc is based on the members registered account location, rather than the goods location. Makes searching for things using the locations filter pretty pointless unfortunately. Trademe do allow dropshippers when registered as such with them but there is no search filter that picks these up and it's very commonly abused. Approved dropshippers must state what country the goods are coming from in the listing detail, but many don't.
