TradeMe have placed restrictions on information that can be entered in the Q&A section to prevent Members from exchanging contact information, phone numbers & email address's, which can lead to Trades being made outside of the TradeMe platform where you are no longer covered or protected by any of the companies Policies should things go wrong. - Other reasons Members can be restricted from answering questions is if they have had a past history of sharing these contact details previously Or if TradeMe have requested further information from the Seller to verify the goods & trade are legitimate. - Cheers.

could be as simple as not being logged into trademe or attempting to answer when your listing has closed,
