Difference in active and actual listings

what the heck is a active listing
in my product page and under status column, what is the difference in active and listing? i.e a square with a arrow ponting top right?

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserEditedListing in the status column shows the product is listed and the listed word is a link to that listing. Active means the product is active, but there is no current listing which could mean it's under FPO which is shown there also, or that you have a tick in the box on your settings tab to say don't exceed your listing allowance, in which case the product is active and may create a listing when something else finishes and there is allowance to list more.
The inverse of Active status is Inactive, in which case if you set to Inactive, the wording turns black and a new listing will not be created until the status is made Active again.
