Placing a bid, then seller somehow cancels auction due to accepting an open question and reply to a offer
Okay so first off, Trade Me you are not good at dealing with wrong doings on your site, Ive experienced this before where you prefer to sort issues to those that have been wrong done by. Maybe your short staffed.
I placed a bid on an Auction where it was to end Saterday night - yesterday. Shocked it never was won nor did I lose. I took photo copies of the events to which Trade Me have not responded. I seriously would have bid a lot higher if it had done so as it was missing pieces I needed for a antique dinner set I have. On the open auction a question was made by an offer (with no buy now). The Seller replied to the offer amount in the Question reply - that they would accept for a higher amount of which they stated. A reply to there's was accepted to which the seller then replied they would alter the Auction, then the entire disappeared. I did not lose nor did I win appear on my trade me, it just shows that it was relisted but was not. Nothing appears in my trade me box to let me know. So I took a snap shots of this to show the cheating. I see a auction is about to end where another person is disgruntled by the seller. I let the Seller know I know what they did onto another product they are selling - I see its a business, in turned they black listed me. Trade Me still have done nothing to my dispute, and that seller is stil allowed to sell. The amount he accepted to whom he underhand agreed to sell it to - I would have gone far greater. Why do Trade Me do nothing.

Hello Lisa. I am not sure I understand what you mean here. Auctions can't just disappear. If someone else purchased it it will appear in your "Items I lost." If the seller withdrew it it will appear in your "Items I lost."
The seller wouldn't have been able to edit the auction to something else as you had a bid on it. So it can't have been that either.
Perhaps this was all done through the Trade Me official "Make an Offer" system. Are you aware of that?

It only appears as re listed but it was not. I think they canceled it. Maybe the did re listed it brief to allow the person to purchase it as to the agreed price they openly made on the questions and replies from both on the original posting I placed the bid on. Ut does not show that I lost the Auction. The Auction never ended. There were 5 other people also interested int he Auction. I have taken photo images of the Auction and the questions and answers, how it played out. I have also given you trade me the ref number which clearly shows what happened. YOU CAN REMOVE AUCTIONS and this clearly has happened. Clearly and it shows that the seller accepted a price. The seller said they would alter the price for them to buy at the agreed price they both agreed on. It did not show a buy now in the image I took a photo of. Something obvious was change so the seller could sell to the person.

So, the image at the start shows that it was re listed but when I clicked on it, it was not re listed. And the Auction never ended. I never won nor lost. As you can see the Seller agreed on a price and told them to try now.... it was altered by the seller

Yes I did email Trade Me support, they never replied. As for the Trade Me seller, I placed a question on one of there other many auctions on this matter they did, in turn they had me blacklisted. After I have explained, and you can see clearly here by these images the seller has cheated. This is not on, What does Trade me do, nothing....

Is it legal to change a running auction to a buy now that wasnt???????????? That Auction did not run to the time it was to end.

You see in one of the pics that it shows a little re lsitng with an arrow. But when clicked on it it was never re listed. You also see that the seller agreed to a price and said they were changing it to a buy now as per question and replies. This was an active Auction

HI Lisa. Nothing suspicious here that I can see. Original auction was 4846706226 The auction closed at $35 without any bids.
Seller then relisted at 4858440244 Buyer asked if they could buy for $25. Seller said no but would accept $30. The seller then added a $30 buynow. The buyer who asked the question bought it. All perfectly OK.
You said you made a bid. There is no evidence of that. From what I can see you didn't make any bid at all. If you had that would have blocked the seller from adding a buynow. A seller can't add a buynow if there are bids.

The relisting link on TradeMe is a bit screwy. I had to check these items on bidbud. They appear OK on there. Original and relisted item with the buynow.
Perhaps the only strange thing is you saying you placed a bid. That doesn't show. So either the seller removed it or you are mistaken about that.

If you made a bid, and the seller removed it Trade Me always email to say that has happened. It looks like this:
Your bid has been removed
Trade Me <mailer@trademe.co.nz>
Your bid for $250.00 has been manually removed by the seller. The seller has the right to remove bids, either at your request, or because they feel your bid is not genuine If you are unhappy about this, you may contact us at: .....Thank you for using Trade Me. https://www.trademe.co.nz0 -
I messaged trade me on the weekend and I have not heard back. I DID place a bid and obviously it was removed manually. There was no reason to have it removed oother than to benifet the seller to make a transaction for the offer he had was openly asked in questions section and he accepted it, he changed it. YOU cannot remove and alter a auction once there has been a bid. I did not know the seller nor had communicated to the seller before this. After the seller did this dirty act, I let the seller know. I would have bedded higher. and happily paid more than what he sold it for but he cheated and altered to sell it to to another. After I let him know I knew what he and done and was reporting him, he black listed me. He is the one who needs blacklisting. I see there was another auction due late Sunday evening which another person was in dispute on an auction that was about to end. Trade me your failures of bad handling and not doing anything is seeing underhand behaver going on. I won an auction a few weeks ago I still have not received it, I paid for it, sent the seller an email asking for cost of delivery to my town and all I received back was asking for my address which they already had, I replied again and again with there email tree telling them. People are being criminals. And you allowing this. You are not policing your site and allowing also to those criminals to post horrible comments and red faces as to cover themselves and place doubt to others so they get away and do it again. Whats going on with trade me, you never use to be like this.

It seems odd to me Lisa.
If you had a bid placed at $35. Why would the seller remove that bid and sell it to someone else for $30?
I'm not saying you didn't have a bid, but is there a possibility you were mistaken there?
As I mentioned in my previous post, if a seller removes your bid, Trade Me always email to say that. Along with a link that you can use to complain if you don't think the bid removal was justified.
