Changing category of pets listing (classified) once it is live
AnsweredHi, I have listed my litter of spoodles for sale under Dogs/ Other. This has been done as a litter and a classified. However, I have since realised that it should be listed under Dogs/Poodles. This means it comes up in more searches. However, I have tried to edit the listing and it won't let me change this cateogry. How can I do this without having to re-enter all the data and pay again?

Here is the listing I am referring to. If you go into google and search "Trade me, spoodle puppies" ,it takes you to poodles within Trademe and we are not listed there. This is why I want to change the classification. It should be allowed as its not a whole category difference, just more specific.

You can't change the category, you have to withdrawal the listing and create a new one in the correct category. This is in place to preventing people from using the one listing to put multiple different listings through, avoiding paying the separate fee's. Under the circumstance TradeMe may help you toward new listing fees so you only pay once for the listing however you will want to confirm this with a staff member first - Cheers.

Oh no! But it was an honest mistake. Surely someone from trade me would be able to see that and see that the "new" listing would be exactly the same? How do I contact a staff member?

To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" for assistance, If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up - person - and you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Put your Listing number in here so Staff can pull this up readily.The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 6:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmAll the Best - Cheers.0
