Item didn't sell
If your item doesn't sell you can relist, renew or set a fixed price offer.
If your listing closes without a buyer – you can send a Fixed Price Offer, or relist.
Relist an item
- Available for auction, Buy Now, and classified listings within 45 days of closing.
- Free unless extras are selected. Learn more about fees.
- Questions and answers aren't carried over to your new listing.
- We’ll notify members who had your listing on their watchlist, and the relist will automatically be added.
Relisting an unsold item
1. Select Unsold from My Trade Me.
2. Select Relist on the expired listing. (If the option isn't available – open the listing and select Relist.)
1. Head to My Trade Me profile-framed and select 'Unsold' tag-cross from the 'Selling' section.
2. Select the listing.
3. Select Relist.

Quick relist or relist in bulk
Quick relist isn’t available on all listings
If it isn't available, relist each listing individually by going to your Unsold folder and opening the listing.

To quick relist:
1. Select Unsold from My Trade Me.
2. Select Edit.
3. Tick the expired listings you'd like relisted, then select Quick relist.
Fixed Price Offer
If your item doesn't sell, you can send a Fixed Priced Offer out to members who were interested in your listing.
How Fixed Priced Offer works
- You decide an amount you're willing to sell your item for (your Fixed Priced Offer).
- Members who had your item on their watchlist get an email with your offer.
- Members have a set amount of time to accept or decline your offer.
- We'll notify you if a member accepts your offer.
Fixed Priced Offer options
Some categories include options to specify who gets the offer and how long they have to accept or decline. If your listing doesn't have these options, all members watching your listing will get the offer and have 24 hours to respond.
Keep in mind
- Fixed Price Offers are available for auction and Buy Now listings within 45 days of closing.
- You can only send a Fixed Price Offer once per listing.
- After you send a Fixed Price Offer, you can't edit the listing or answer questions.

You can withdraw a Fixed Price Offer at anytime.
Sending a Fixed Price Offer
1. Select Fixed Price Offer on the expired listing or on your Unsold page.
2. Enter your offer price.
3. Select the watchers you'd like to receive the offer.

Renewing car listings
Listings older than 45 days
- To relist an item that closed more than 45 days ago, you'll need to start a new listing.
- Listing details can be found by searching the listing number, if you have it.
