Add or remove from blacklist
We'll show you how to block a member from asking questions, or bidding on your auctions.
Blacklisting gives you control over who you trade with.
How blacklist works
- Blacklisting a trader will stop them from asking questions or bidding on your auctions.
- Your blacklist is private – other members can't see who you've blacklisted, or who's blacklisted you.
- Blacklisted members can still view your listings.
- If someone you've blacklisted tries to bid or ask a question on your listing, they'll be told they've been blacklisted.
Add or remove members from your blacklist
To add a member from your blacklist:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Settings.
3. Under 'Selling options', select Add a member to my Blacklist.
4. Enter the username of the member you'd like to blacklist
5. Select Add to Blacklist.
To remove someone from your Blacklist, select 'Remove' next to the member's username.
Adding or removing members from your blacklist isn't available in the iOS app yet. Visit trademe.co.nz in your browser and follow the instructions for the new-look site.
To add a member to your Blacklist on your Android app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select profile-framed Profile & account.
3. Select tag Selling options.
4. Select Blacklisted members.
5. Select Add.
6. Enter the member's username, then select OK.
What if you're blacklisted
- If you've been blacklisted, you won't be able to trade with that member.
- Blacklisting is the choice of the individual trader – we don't ask for a reason.
