When you can edit or delete feedback
You might want to change your feedback if:
- You picked the wrong rating by mistake.
- The situation changed. For example, the seller sent a new item after the first one was damaged.
You can only edit or delete feedback once per trade. If you delete feedback, you can’t replace it.
If the trade happened more than 45 days ago, head to the other trader's profile to edit or delete the feedback.
From your won or sold listings
Editing or deleting feedback from 'Won' or 'Sold' isn’t always available
If the 'feedback placed' option isn’t available on your listing, go to the other trader's profile to edit or delete your feedback.

To edit or remove feedback on the Trade Me website:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. From the left menu, select Won (if you’re the buyer) or Sold (if you’re the seller)
3. Click anywhere on the listing to open the 'Listing detail' or 'Auction detail' page.
4. Select Feedback placed to open the ‘Update feedback’ box.
5. Edit your feedback rating and description.
6. Select Submit feedback. Your new feedback will replace your previous feedback.
Removing feedback isn’t currently available on the iOS app. To remove feedback, head to trademe.co.nz in your browser.
To edit feedback on the iOS app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Won (if you’re the buyer) or Sold (if you’re the seller)
3. Select the listing you want to change your feedback for.
4. Under ‘Next steps’, select Feedback.
5. Under ‘Feedback Placed’, select Edit.
To edit or remove feedback from the Android app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Won (if you’re the buyer) or Sold (if you’re the seller)
3. Select the listing you want to change your feedback for.
4. Under ‘Next steps’, select Feedback.
5. Under ‘Feedback Placed’, select Edit or Delete.
From the other trader's profile
You might need to edit feedback from the other trader’s profile if:
- it's been more than 45 days since your trade
- the ‘Feedback placed’ option isn't on your listing.
Find the other trader’s profile
To get to the other trader’s profile, either:
- select their username from your own feedback. Go to My Trade Me and scroll down to the 'Feedback' section.
- select their username from your purchase confirmation email
- search by their username in our profile search.
Edit or delete feedback from the other trader’s profile
To edit or delete feedback from the other trader’s profile:
- Scroll down to the ‘Feedback’ section.
- Find the feedback you placed.
- Select edit feedback or remove feedback.
