I have this same issue. Its so terrible a user experience. I just want to check auction instead of buy now. Just like you would if you created the listing from scratch. Consider this a feature request or a bug if this is yhe case on both the desktop site or mobile app. Such a waist of user time. I'm already needing to relist a buy now countless times if it takes more than a week to sell. And if I list similar none of the watchers will get a notification that the listing has been relisted.
