Oh God! I thought it was just me! I take photo - look at on my camera and it looks fine, I then upload photo onto my PC and review it, and it looks great! I upload it to my listing and it looks like a dogs dinner. I know my photography is not great but this site is doing me no favours righ now and making my already mediocre work even more trash. Its important for our ability to be able to sell stuff to be able to put up decent photos.
My issue with them, is that they seem to cause more than their share of issues with buyers, now this effects us, because if buyers get to annoyed/frustrated/upset they leave the platform, T-Me is no longer a monopoly, the Buyers have other places to shop online. If Buyers transfer to other platforms, it makes my potential audience smaller. If there feeback rating drops bellow 95% after 50 trades (a little bit of grace given for "learning") then they should be insta kicked, gone, bye-bye sunshine.
For us if someone asks - that's fine, (you never know unless you ask), But when they get told "No sorry", and they ask again, that is when they end up on the blacklist, because it is the only way of ending the conversion. Quite often though, giving a discount ends in pain. A few things can happen / go wrong. Like - Lowering the buy now, after someone asks for a discount, then someone else hits the buy now. (This is the most common problem, then you get person "A" complaining in another listing that you sold "their" item to someone else .... ) You also get the - "Can you lower the price?" '...
If you left them a feedback, you can access the wording for the old auction through that feature. I would warn you against using the exact description, you have used it in the mean time, so you will need to update any condition issue. But also ethically - to copy and paste would be plagiarism, seller work very hard at their content creation, if you did a straight copy and paste of someoneles work you may cause offense with the original creator, certainly use it for inspiration, but I wouldn't do a direct copy.
I get very frustrated with this system. My current bugbear is Daggers, for the life of me I don't even know why you guys have a section for daggers, when we are seemingly not allowed to list them... I have had a few discussions in the past with the trust and safety team, but the interpretations of what the rules are, seems to change with each staff member, and also each year (as staff move on, and new ones come aboard). What seems to be happening at the moment, is around double edged blades, so all the Fairbain Sykes are getting pulled down, because they have a double edge, now they used t...
A few options Pal (I hate it when people troll, so been down this road a few times sadly). A) You could just ignore it and not answer, (It will show at the end of the auction however) B) Answer it - either with a dot (like this .) which will clear it - or if you can think of some witty answer that belittles them and makes them look stoopid then do it, just put them onto your blacklist first, so you end the conversation and have the last word. (This can be the most satisfying way of dealing with it!) C) Reach out to live chat - Like S has suggested. To be fair, this is a proper good option. ...
This has annoyed me in the past too, If there is a Ladies Retro category there should also be a mens! We like to rock vintage fashion too!
S, Cool I did a CW this morning - worded it slightly differently from yours but same general gist. I also requested that they contact them, and warn them off such behavior in the future. Here is the categories I put it under. Category = Just this listing Why do you want to report this ? = Another Trade Me Policy is being breached What exactly is in breach? = A bidder is artificially bumping up the price What is the bidders user name? ************
To be honest the policing of Electrical complacence on this site has gone backwards a lot over the past year or 2, you don't have to look very hard to find something non compliant, I did a CW just now on an item, listed by an In Trade Seller, with no electrical safety certificate, no insulation on the pins, there is even corrosion on the pins! I have CW this seller in the past, and their stuff never gets taken down.
I have been mulling over this one all afternoon. Just going by your description around the circumstances of how they were first purchased, it sounds like they could be counterfeit, I don’t know these products myself, but if we were talking about a designer bag in this situation I would say 100% counterfeit. If he has sent a dispute report before emailing you, then that is a bit aggressive, but that’s out of your control, and they are allowed to do that, although I would argue that is not the correct etiquette. So to your questions -Yes buyers can rely on their own experience, for all you...
