flossy63 I know what you mean. I joined TM in January 2001 and still have 100% feedback from both selling and buying.
jpicard It should be our choice though. It's always been understood that bank transfers are not protected and I agree that TM shouldn't be expected to reimburse in those cases. But the new system is making it difficult for buyers and sellers alike.
flossy63 They certainly have made it difficult for traders like you. It's a shame TM have such a monopoly.
flossy63 Yes I do use the cart if the auction has the same bid and "buy now" price, but most of what I buy are auctions for $1 with a buy now of $3. So I bid and nearly always get them for a dollar. When the auctions end there is no way to pay for them together with Ping.
Michelle - are they also looking into the option of combining "won" auction amounts into one Ping payment? For example, I have previously won 10 auctions from the same seller for $1 each. I don't want to make 10 payments through Ping. Luckily for me this seller takes bank transfers, which solves the problem. I do really like Ping but not for this situation. I regularly win multple small auctions from various sellers and would definitely use Ping if the option to combine them was available.
jpicard But in a case like that, TM would still cover the cost of the auction surely? Losing the shipping cost would be minimal if you got back what you had paid through Ping.
I've just been reading through this thread and as far as I can see, no one has mentioned the problem I have with the changes. If I use Buy Now for a lot of small items from the same seller, which I do often, there is no way to combine them using Ping. Luckily most of the things I get have an auction start price, so I bid and when they are all finished I can get the seller's bank details and transfer the total. I tend to avoid Buy Now if possible because I don't want a whole string of small transactions in my bank account. I'm rebuilding my entertainment library so buy a lot of $1 and $2 it...
