Thanks flossy63!That explains why some of my favourite sellers still have the old shipping options ... I guess it also means it's too late for me if I want the older, more flexible option! 

Hiya Callum, I'm having the same problem, but from the seller's end - I can no longer specify shipping costs beyond rural/urban. It means I can't offer regular post (I sell small items) or combined post. I want to buyers to use Ping but that's not possible when I can't specify postage. What's the solution to this please? 

Having exactly the same trouble ... I tried My Products but that's just as restrictive - possibly worse!The obvious solution is to pick the "arrange shipping with seller" option but (a) then you can't use Ping, at least not for postage, and (b) buyers are discouraged if they don't know how much they'll be charged for postage. Seems like an own goal by Trademe, surely they'd want people to use Ping? I've also seen some of my favourite sellers using customised shipping options so there must be a way to do it.
