I was overseas for all of November, but can see the email hit my spam while I was away..I was a top seller until just last week (Dec 15th) but because I had to shut my store for my overseas trip, top seller status was lost. Looks like I I will struggle to make it before Jan 4th now as the lean period, and the new TM insistence upon no bank deposit options has caused a slump in sales as well. Less commission for TM more fees for me everyone loses haha..  Oh well, more inspiration to get my own website up and running asap. Happy Xmas everyone!

Hi! Not sure if this helps anyone, but I do all my Recon through MYOB for this business, and MYOB and PING are not really good friends so I have had to perform all sorts of workarounds to make it smooth. I actually process PING payments using customer discount in the payment field as this allows the fee to zip through and I have setup customer discounts as GST free. It works for my system at least. Frankly it is another reason PING bothers me as there are so many extra steps to take from the accounting and bookkeeping..The good news is I am getting charged by Trademe for the extra time I ne...

Hi all! Last year, this time TM had a downtime period where the top seller expectations went on holiday so we could maintain our Top Seller status during the quiet holiday period. Is this not happening again this year? Are we expected to sell the usual amount to keep the Top Seller status?

  • cratecurator commented,

It would be very interesting if TM accepted this one to be featured. Somehow I think they wish this one would slide into oblivion, not be front page

  • cratecurator commented,

Also, if you sort by comments (top right of posts) then you'll see this one appear right at the top (right underneath their 2 sticky threads)  - 196 comments and counting. For some reason this post seems popular heehee

  • cratecurator commented,

I have sent a message to comcom about this. Hopefully they can look into this. In the meantime, I note TradeMe is being very silent here. They have sent their one attempt to brush this off..but, you see TradeMe, this is a sticky subject.

  • cratecurator commented,

This is clearly going to become the most commented on post in the HISTORY of TradeMe's forum. Seriously TradeMe management. If you are not listening, you are fools. It's time to have another meeting and make a decision. Is this really a worthwhile move to make? You really really need to reconsider this decision.

  • cratecurator commented,

In this day and age, with it being so easy to self market and create websites, I guess I can thank TradeMe for lighting the fire. I know I am not alone, I am already creating my own site. After this tosser move from TM, it's time.

  • cratecurator commented,

The sheer number of comments and engagement on this post should at least have TradeMe thinking about this decision being reversed. Right? Surely their Management Team have a brain cell between them? They will regain some of our trust and respect if they make the admirable decision to actually listen to our viewpoints here. If they forge ahead with this ridiculous mandate, they will have only shown they are blind to the people that make them money. The sellers. We start the money train for them. If we sell less, the buyers buy less. End of stpry. Stop meddling TradeMe. Maybe you can just enf...

I think I am going to deactivate my Products so none load for the 3rd November. I am only a small fish. But if enough small fish join together..just saying.
