I just sell the occasional book of mine after reading it so not on a major scale but some advice I have... I've been using NZ post. I mostly sell novels and was using the previous prepay S ticket. Its dimensions allowed for up to two average size novels. I'd state in my postage that I could send up to two books for that postage which often led to customers buying multiples, since it was easy to see they could combine. Its harder to figure out the dimensions now the labels are volumetric but I think if you use the rate finder and pay online the dimensions still favour multiple books. Otherwi...
Sorry, yes the e-mail address is a problem for you. I just mean that trademe don't regularly check that e-mail addresses are still active and accounts can continue to operate without a working e-mail address.
I believe the last log in just shows activity on the desktop version of the website, not the app. Or at least it used to. As for the e-mail address I don't think that would affect the ability to trade. It would have only been needed when setting up the account....
Thanks for the update Gary. It did always seem a bit unfair for people who valued a hidden reserve that that detail was given on an unsold auction.
I think you just need to say you're not going to reveal that information. They'll be able to see what the reserve was if the auction closes unsold (or at least you used to be able to. Haven't seen a reserve auction in awhile). Many sellers on trademe do disclose the reserve which is probably why they're persisting in asking. I know there's quite a bit of resentment about the reserve feature these days and some people refuse to engage with an auction at all if it has a reserve.
Today's update to the terms & conditions does put a damper on the good news. Trade Me makes no warranty that Ping will meet the requirements of all users or prospective users, or that Ping (including any reports) will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free.
For the one that was delivered today on Sunday, are you sure that doesn't just mean the receiver went out today and thought. Oh I better check the letterbox..... It could be. She was a bit annoyed by the whole thing and not really answering questions. Which is why I'm so frustrated by the whole thing as it would have been better to deal with it before her patience had become so thin but I was only advised about the problem now and the delivery tag misled me.I know Sunday delivery isn't meant to be a thing but have had it happen at least once (confirmed) after lodging a claim. My last cour...
I just wish they feedback page would show some kind of record for the auctions without feedback. I know there are some occasions I choose not to leave feedback as I was a little unhappy with the trade but not enough to leave a negative or neutral but not wanting to leave positive either but presumably most of the times people don't bother with feedback is because they're happy with the trade. I estimate my successful trades are nearly twice the number that had feedback placed. It would be nice to be able to show I've had my actual number of successful trades, not just the number with feedba...
Callum: I did consider it but I don't really want 1-2 days, I'd like 1-3 (the high end is preferable at the moment, it's just the low that's unnecessarily negative). I also believe express (the word attached to 0-2) referred to possible same day deliveries which felt misleading. I guess what I'd like is the packaging and postage estimates to be itemized if they must be included at all. That being said I just loaded one of my auctions and it doesn't seem to currently mention delivery days. Maybe estimates have been removed for now? Here's hoping.
I'm frustrated with the minimum timeframe they give on estimates. With less then one day processing selected and 1-2 business days delivery trademe now say they minimum timeframe a buyer can expect their parcel in is two business days. Yet if a customer buys something early in the morning, I pack and it's collected that same afternoon (less then one day processing), they regularly receive the parcel the next morning - within 24 hours. The minimum should be 1 day!
