The make an offer in live auctions has never worked properly since they started it. You are better off asling a question, neg a price and getting the seller to change the buynow
The key words are there in blue. "Upgrading our system" It means we have broken our system and don't know how to fix it. Instead of just reverting back to the desktop version where everthing worked properly, they prefer to let everyone suffer. Can someone tell me please, how long does it take after a buyer has paid afterpay, for that payment to transfer to yout bank account? I thought it would have gone to bank account, at the same time as ping payments but that has not happened.
In an offer after an auction (when an item has been offered back to you) there is only an accept or reject option. With the listing still live, if the seller has allowed the make an offer option then this has a counter option available. If it works as it should that is. For the last year thats a 50/50 chance with TMs updates which have screwed with everything.
Raymond, I have never been able to use afterpaay on offers. Theres is some glitch there. It works fine with buynows, but never on offers, always has the error message. What's super annoying is you can't combine multiple items from the same seller and pay one afterpay payment. Afterpay does not work with the cart,, even with 1 seller. You have to indivially buy each item. Annoying if you want to buy 8 dvds, and other small items.
Something is up with auctions closing times. I have seen a post about this previously where the person wanted to bid higher and auction was suddenly over. Watchlist tiimes are not matching closing times on the listing or the watchlist down tab (where it shows you about 4 items on top of your list) or the times on the actual listings themselves. You actually have to log out of Trademe and go back into it to get the accurate time. It will say 4 mins and be counting down, when in fact there is only 1 minute to go. Some sellers are lying about where the items are. Been caught with it myself thinking its here and then takes a month to come from some other country. Also there are so many ridiculous prices on overseas items clogging up the areas. You can often find it here in nz avilable for an example $30 and they are asking $150 or more. Its ridiculous as nobody will ever buy it when they can get it here at a 1/4 of the price. Lego is a bad one for it.
