Hi Carol, when I started using Pass the Parcel, instead of NZ Post courier, I created a different email-address for PTP parcels, to keep all my Pass the Parcel sent sold-items together, and to more easily & quickly find them, and found it very easy to send the Pass the Parcel tracking-number to each buyer, as I can just copy-paste that detail by clicking-on the tracking-number on the last page, when doing the booking on the PTP website, and then including that (including the Track word that links to the tracking-progress for a buyer), in my email to a buyer. The buyers of my TM auctions hav...
Hi S, when I shortened the end-date of one of my listings recently, I wasn't charged any fee at all, as I checked the fee summary first, to make sure that there was no charge, as it seems to be okay, for example, if you list an item on Sunday, then you can close it off on Tuesday for no charge. Thank you for letting me know that casual sellers don't pay a Ping postage-fee, as I was not aware of that.
Hi Dee, if Trade Me doesn't remove your listing for free, you could otherwise change your listing to close-off in a couple of days, and then relist it, but you may need to then untick the Ping box. Or, if you decide to let the listing run, you could add in the details that you don't want payment by Ping, because of the extra charge, but just by internet-banking instead.
Hi AJ, yes, as I mainly just sell $1 items, by the time Ping is added at 2.19% of the item, it is better for me to sell at just $1 with no selling fee on items that are $1 or less, and no Ping added to the item. The free or discounted selling days are good for items that are listed at and sell for more than $1. Some sellers may not be aware, with today's promotion, that the 2.19% Ping fee is added to the item.
Hi AJ, thank you for your comments. I don't use Ping either, because of the additional cost. It wasn't clearly-stated, for this promotion, whether Ping would still be attached to relistings, and, if it was, whether you could manually remove it, and would then have to laboriously do this, listing-by-listing. So I decided to opt-out of today's promotion, for that reason, and listed last night, instead.
On the email I received about this promotion, it says free selling today only! but it is not until you open that email that you see the details about Ping being attached. Also, when you go onto Trade Me, this states: 100% off success fees this Sun. learn more. But it is not until you open-up Learn more that you see the details about Ping being attached. So the details about Ping are not clear, at first, until you open up either of those, and then read the details. That is why I put up this post, to create awareness of this issue, in case sellers hadn't read the details, and then, when an...
