yes, S, did all of the above and still no reply. I have been a member for a long time. Despite of what was said here, there is no 24/7 community watch. To Michelle-no, TM won't be "all over" this-they wouldn't even publish the article outlining this scam. I've been asking for a year now. The only reply I got is that they would "consider". You have chosen a very ineffective strategy to fight this kind of scam, because it still must be bringing more revenue than nipping it in the bud. Please read TM Trustpilot reviews, there are at least 6 more mentions of the same scam and still nothing from...
the buyer was genuine, left negative feedback and the seller left profanities in return. So, let's summarise. 24/7 scam monitoring is a myth. the scammer was active for at least 24 hours. the withdrawn auction's questions got cleaned up by TM-you can no longer see who asked wha and when. This is withdrawn auction by seller, not TM. Seller withdrew, because it looked bad to have many unanswered questions. Seller said that they would use NZ based bank account for transfer. instead of investigating, TM just withdrew auctions without actually determining who it was. They will no doubt continue....
Thank you for the warning, I already paid the money although I contacted the bank, I also expect some help from Trade Me, as something must have gone wrong from your side to allow his to happen. The trade wasn’t completely "too good to be true", just a good deal. The sellers been active for 10 years that’s why I did not smell the rat straight away. Please help me to retrieve the money if possible.
Yes, you are right, Callum, the items aren’t stolen… maybe I am just overly suspicious. Still-the seller bid on expensive items TWICE and didn’t pick up. Now they know what valuables are and the pickup address. 33% positive is too low to trade, but fees are paid, so they continue…
Dear Michelle, electrical plugs is the least of my concerns with this trader. what is the amount of negative FB that you would allow before removing the trader? 67% negative seems pretty high to me, especially considering that their only positive FB might have come from the account potentially also started by the seller. i did report them.
another thing-none of the items that they sell seem to include chargers/power cords. Possibly stolen?
Thank you for the explanation, Gary, OP never mentioned MQL in their original post and then I got further confused when you said "Any listing that is a Buy now only listing is a multi qty listing even if the qty is one" hope OP is sorted.
Ah, just tried to remove my reserve and it told me I can't just have BN, without a reserve price. Both reserve and BN has (optional) written there, which is misleading. Just removed BN and turned it into an auction again.
I just did it to my auction several times again, it converted to reserve +BN to start reserve price only and vice versa. I use an ancient device that I never update, maybe that's why...
Ah, they wouldn't publish it because I added my auction address for you to see. It's certainly possible with a single listing, not sure about multiple quantity ones.
