From the questions and answer section on ping changes....'Using bank transfer will soon be against our site policy.' AJ I think you need to check your answer with Trade Me personnel.

Thank you AJ, that is the first time I have heard that we can ask to pay by bank deposit. 

And AJ - if they try to pay another way after wining an auction?

A seller can only sell something with Ping or afterpay as ways to pay.   As I understand it, if you try to pay another way Trade Me is unhappy with you and can shut you out - but I could be wrong.

Michelle, as I said at the beginning - my visa account on Ping was hacked and that is why I do not trust Ping.  Selling and buying with my bank account has only once been a problem in twenty years. I am surprised by how many of my buyers tell me they do not like or want to use Ping.  I assume that we are being forced to use Ping because so many of us have refused the option up till now and Trade Me needs it to be a 'success'.  

Yes Michelle, so Trade Me keeps saying the same thing over and over but you are not listening to a number of your members who do not want Ping.  We just want to trade using our bank accounts and you are refusing to allow us any choice in the matter, as well as threatening us if we try and circumvent Ping.  Such a good look for Trade Me - Yeah right!

Nothing showed on my account, I think the person set up a new account with TM and used my ping/visa for the charges. This was a few years ago and I have tried to avoid ping ever since.

AJ, you really got my hopes up for a few minutes before I went searching.  I had a feeling I had read before that not obeying TM would get a person kicked out.
