Yes I have noticed this as well.A previous intrade seller who sold books disabled their account & set up another account that is a "casual" one. They sell exactly the same as before & even had their old listings as auctions. The silly thing about it is their TradeMe name is exactly the same as their previous name but have added one number at the end of it instead. They have their bank account details on their auctions also which I thought was a no no.
Yes it is what version the seller has listed the auction.Any auction with a reference number of KP-***** does not show up on desktop whether you have won it or not.It only shows up on the new version app. on my phone.I won a auction, paid for it straight away & then when the parcel arrived I had no idea what it was as I had forgotten I had won it as I do most of my transactions on my laptop (desktop) & it was wasn't on my won list.TradeMe has known about this glitch for many weeks now & don't seem to be in no hurry to fix it !!!! And yet they still charge us the same success fees when their ...
I still believe like Westham60 has mentioned that shipping costs should be compulsory on all auctions with "ping".What's the point of being covered from a buyers perspective if ping is used & of course all auctions now have "ping" as a option if there's no shipping in the shipping details. Many traders avoid the ping fee by stating it in the auction description itself which makes a mockery of the "buyer protection" as buyers won't make two payments, one for ping & then the shipping balance to their bank accounts.Yes I agree TradeMe should have left "bank deposit/transfer" as a option but it's...
The problem is that the problems still exist 6 months on.What have the TradeMe techs. been doing in this time ? The whole functionality of this site is generally a nightmare.Don't they realise that many traders still use desktop. Not everyone spend 24/7 on their mobile phones.
Thanks for that.I try to avoid the new look desktop site like the plague but you can see the auctions you won by selecting the mobile option. It also shows what you missed out on but any that were on my watchlist that I didn't bid on have vanished into thin air.
Yes it is still happening.I had a auction on my watchlist I was interested in.It didn't sell. The seller quite often places a lower offer to me if one of their auctions fails to sell. But they have no way of doing this as they used the so called "new site" & now the auction has vanished from the site. They have no way of knowing who their "watchers" are & if it did sell other trademe members have no idea what it sold for,who the buyer was e.t.c. because it's gone, never to be seen again.I'm staggered to think how many sales are being missed out as a result of TradeMe doing nothing about this kn...
There's sellers out there offering "ping" as a payment but don't have the shipping auctions in that section. They have the options next to the description to save them success fees on the shipping costs which is quite silly in my view as a ping payment only covers the item & then the buyer has to make a separate payment for shipping.Very messy !
Reading another forum further up the page there is talk that TradeMe might be phasing out My Products so all this advice to start using this feature might be a waste of time ? Also Bid Bud states now on their site "BidBud will be shutting down on the 20th of May 2026" . This site showed TradeMe how everything should be done.So basic & easy to use.Instead we get a mickey mouse circus with many glitches & errors. There are some that we were told well over a year ago that behind the scenes TradeMe staff are working hard to fix certain glitches but are still there.
The thing that gets me is the many sellers avoiding the ping fee by not having their shipping options in the shipping section & have them instead in the listing details.Which of course means the buyer has to make at least one payment by bank deposit. Most buyers just make the one payment including shipping by deposit to save paying twice & sellers know this & of course they are saving fees on shipping as most people know intrade sellers have to pay success fees on postage. Some sellers even state they don't accept ping payments even though of course it's one of the options. You shouldn't be al...
Thanks Gary for your suggestion. It's a bit beyond me exporting/copy e.t.c. to a spreadsheet.Unfortuately I didn't stay at school long enough to learn all the tricks of the trade involving computers/internet techology. What I lilked about Bid Bud is you could create templates easily using freeform text. And it is brilliant at bidding on your behalf a couple of minutes out from the end of the auction when you're away from the computer. But with all the changes to the TradeMe site (most were unnecessary) the creator of Bid Bud can't continue the site for much longer. He created a site that was SIM...
