I wonder to get around having no bank transfer from November, if we choose "cash" as an option, have a footnote re bank transfer, then correspond via email with purchaser?
As a seller, I fully expect to pay fees to use a platform. As a buyer, no way ... love how TM say that they "hear the people" - wonder what "people" they heard from as I'm picking not many would be a fan of this new initiative. I only hope that TM educate buyers on Ping and that the "Service Fee" is highlighted as a fee imposed by TM and not the seller. Be interesting to see how this plays out. I for one won't be paying any service fee to TM as I won't be buying anything over $19.99. Facebook is looking extremely appealing for selling / buying more and more as TM go down this path.
Harold, TM have also stuffed that up too i.e. insisting on Ping on trades to casual sellers during the free success fee period - I have both a business and casual account and have definitely been able to obtain payment via bank transfer during those so called "Ping" only trades with no success fee being taken so their system is flawed.
I'm getting the same Flossy selling over in the 8+ in age Lego. Perhaps TM need to overhaul the "Toy" categories as I also received an email re a 1000 piece preloved jigsaw. Have been selling for 15+ years and this is the first time I'm getting spammed with emails re safety. Must be Bots sending them out.
Frustrates the hell out of me too - I note so many traders especially in the Lego category who are certainly in-trade. One I saw did get the flag flying eventually and then I see the same seller, selling the exact items, wording etc, on their private account to take advantage of the free selling when it pops up monthly. I'm frustrated that TM is taking the piss and creaming profit from charging success fees on postage, does not make it a level playing field. TM, with all their "promises" of fixing this, doing that, implementing thin air, aren't doing diddly squat - gone so downhill its fa...
