Hi Chris. The last logged in thingo is only triggered if you use the desktop site. If people only log in on various Apps on mobile etc or only respond to messages on their phone they don't show as a login. Looks odd doesn't it. Does pay to check the desktop site now and again for security I think.
Hi David. Have you seen the following help page on placing an auto bid? It shows the how to on desktop new look site and the apps. https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007263411-Placing-a-bid I got confused about the order to 'push the buttons' once and did the same as you. I still have to go and check this page if I am going to auto bid as I hardly ever do it!
What we found some time ago with PO Box is that yes courier firms would attempt to deliver, but, they got turned away from the nzpost recipient. Most frustrating. Happened twice about 5 years ago when buyer stated any courier could deliver to it and always did. But nzpost said nope.
Hi Tina. Have you lodged a dispute from your won items page?. If you have photo's of the damage and of course photo's of the actual auction to compare for evidence that could certainly help you with a refund. If the seller won't communicate a formal dispute may well cause a 'reaction'. TM expects the seller to step up and sort it out. If the seller doesn't, you just click the button at the end of the number of days when you get an update and say No, the seller has not resolved and it goes to the next step. Good luck.
Hi Hilary. Even on desktop I have never found a way to send payment instructions from the sold page post sale. I always set up to send automatically, but if someone says they didn't seem to receive them I have just had to copy and email the instructions. Maybe that's what they mean by sending them 'Manually'! Lol. Slightly lacking in the help pages there :)
Simple answer is you cannot. In your settings the email is attached to 'your account', not individual auctions. It's also a security thing so others cannot misuse your account.
It's in buyer protection policy. there is quite a bit of reading there!....https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007001732-Buyer-Protection-policy They are supposed to return it in the same condition to get a refund. See the bit about return shipping below (you will have to pay for it tho'). No point keeping it if it doesn't work right? Return shipping Normally for a not as described dispute, you must return the item to the seller. We expect sellers to cover the cost of return shipping, and for you and the seller to work together in good faith to get the item returned
The start or reserve price box used to be first and the buy now price box 2nd to fill in when creating a new listing. A little while ago in the changes to trade me, the order of those boxes was changed so buy now price box is the first one. Which is now a slightly unnatural progression to fill in. Could it be that has thrown a spanner in the works? Start and reserve price are the same..... unless you choose the option to have a different reserve that start. Then you get the extra charge.
It's also easier to remove the bid as they have requested before the auction ends. Someone else who wants the item can win it and pay you ! :) without the fight you may have from the party who didn't want it in the first place. And you have to relist all over again, ask for your success fees back, maybe get bad feedback.... etc.
After a certain time any purchase problem can only be remedied by the seller, not by trade me as a selling platform, used by the seller. You can change your feedback to red and have a look at buyer protection and the disputes tribunal remedy in TM help if it is worth the money you paid. If you want to go this way a red face and an email stating you intend to take this further MIGHT prompt some action from the seller?
