the fees are already high enough and this is purely just a way to take more money from us. afterpay and ping are only a bonus for the buyer so they should be paying the fees. trademe wont back down on this just like when they started charging fees on shipping costs...think how much more money they will get from it. shame they dont invest the money into more staff to monitor cw so people dont get ripped off by scammers after hours  

as jay mentioned above the site is flooded with tens of thousands of listings from overseas sellers and they are scattered randomly anywhere all over the site and yep trademe dont do anything about that. majority of these sellers have really bad feedback but trademe continue to let them sell on here. all those listing are paid for via ping meaning trademe could be refunding more than they ae making through ping fees. is this the reason nz in trade sellers are being forced to use ping so that it can pay the refunds for all those bad overseas sellers? i agree with many and said it days ago......

also i know of a seller that sold a brand new item that was paid for via ping. the buyer said it was scratched and trademe refunded him. the seller got the item back and its in brand new condition as described in the listing and photos with no scratches...i have seen it. why should a seller have to refund just because somebody changes their mind and lies to trademe. its a bit crap that trademe can refund the sellers money because they believe the lies of a buyer. this seller was not an in trade member and it was a personal item he sold

mme yes i do think that. you may not buy from overseas but heaps do and trademe will be raking in the cash. flossy yep so many of the overseas sellers have shocking feedback but trademe let them continue to sell cos they are getting all the fees. majority of the stuff is junk or fakes...just like all the crap people are buying from temu these days. yes academy i remember when if your feedback percentage got below a certain amount you were gone and yes so many sellers breaching trademes T&C by selling the same multiple items and trademe do nothing. the site is cluttered and 10s of 1000s of i...

i dont think trademe will care about any of the comments on here. they are making a fortune from the overseas sellers now so losing a few nz in trade sellers will probably just be a drop in their huge bucket
