Trade Me's apparently all about making itself a secure & safe site, yet we are no longer able to see whom we are potentially dealing with. I do not wish to deal with folks with excessive negative feedback, plain & simple, nor people having the opportunity to anonymously badger me time & time again for a FPO/relist. Cheers.
S - Transparency is required. How is it acceptable that you are no longer aware of whom is requesting an offer? I don't wish to offer out to someone with poor feedback or to someone that continually requests offers & is just a tyre kicker. I would err on the side of adding these members to my blacklist, rather than offering out to, but I guess I won't know whom they are now, as they hidden by anonymity.
I eventually could add a Buy Now but I had to do it in two stages. I'm not going to add anything negative about Trade Me's ongoing issues but I certainly don't have anything positive to add.
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/edit-listing/5960041760/promote I've attempted to edit my listing by reducing the price and adding a 'Buy Now'. I am not able to do this as it reads 'The Buy Now price must be greater than or equal to the Starting price'. My Buy Now price is greater than the start price but it is not letting me do so. Surely, I shouldn't have to edit the listing twice, firstly by lowering the price & then coming back to it & adding a Buy Now?
Why is that you are no longer able to reply directly to the buyers e-mail via Trade Me's accompanying post-auction sale e-mail? I am finding that buyers are not responding to my correspondence & the e-mails are probably going in their junk. Is there a reason Trade Me has done this or is it something I am doing, as I'm finding it a real unnecessary inconvenience.
I wish it was as simply as that but unfortunately they don't always show anymore.
Yes, it's rubbish and they do charge for withdrawing/ending an auction early. My advise would be to alter your auction to be clearly labelled a LISTING ERROR, remove all photographs & meaningful description & let it run for the shortest possible duration of time. While this shell of a listing is running to its inevitable point of not selling, list in it's intended category & how you wanted for the listing to originally appear.
I'm trying to edit a listing by moving a book from the Non-Fiction - Other category to the Non-Fiction - New Zealand category.
I wouldn't have thought there were different pricing structures within the books category. It seems hard to fathom that you can't move from Non-Fiction - Other to Non-Fiction - New Zealand or anything else within the book category? Surely that hasn't got anything to do with pricing structures? Is there a premium paperback category I'm unaware of?
Thank you for your response & it's helpful to know that but crikey that's a nuisance.
