Learn how to add a YouTube video or 3D tour to eligible Trade Me listings.
Which listings can have video and 3D tours
All videos must meet our video terms and conditions.
| Property | All property listings can have a video and 3D tour. |
| Motors | All motors listings can have a video. |
| Jobs | Gold, Silver, or Bronze job listings can add a video. |
| Marketplace | Only Stores or Top Sellers can add a video to a listing using a listing tool. |
Adding videos or 3D tours isn’t available in the Trade Me app yet. To add a video or 3D tour, go to www.trademe.co.nz in your browser
Upload your video to YouTube
You need to upload your video to YouTube and use the link to the URL to add it to an eligible Trade Me listing.
To upload a YouTube video:
- Log into your YouTube account.
- Select the video icon at the top right side of the window.
- Select Upload video.
- Choose your video and wait for it to upload.
- Change the access to either unlisted or public access. Make sure to turn off ads and annotations.
- Copy the video’s URL.
Add a video to your Property listing
- Go to the photos & media tab while creating or editing your listing.
- Paste your video’s YouTube URL under YouTube video.
- Select Add video.
- Save your changes or start your listing.
Add a 3D tour to your Property listing
- Go to the photos & media tab while creating or editing your listing.
- Paste your 3D tour’s URL under 3D tour URL.
- Select Add 3D tour.
- Save your changes or start your listing.

If your 3D tour provider isn’t supported, add the URL to your listing description.
Add a video to your Motors listing
- Go to the description & photos tab while creating or editing your listing.
- Paste your video’s YouTube URL under ‘Add video’. A preview of your video will appear.
- Select View Summary.
- Save your changes or start your listing.
Add a video to your jobs listing
- Go to the branding tab while creating or editing your listing.
- Paste your video’s YouTube URL under ‘Add video’. A preview of your video will appear.
- Select Next.
- Save your changes or start your listing.
