Unknown Charges

If you think a charge is fraudulent, please call our Trust and Safety team urgently on 0800 334 332. We’re available from 7:00 am until midnight, seven days a week.

Before contacting us about an unknown charge, check the following:

  1. Trade Me account statement
    You can access your account statement on our desktop site through ‘My Trade Me’. This has all transactions made to your membership.
  2. 'Won’ items – if the charge was in the last 45 days
    All purchased listings stay in your ‘Won’ items for 45 days after the listings closed.
  3. Who has access to your payment methods
    Make sure no-one else has your card or bank details saved – this info may have been added to another Trade Me account in the past.
