Edit your Trade Me profile
We'll show you how to update your profile information, and what info is shown to other members.
Your profile shows basic info to other Trade Me members.
Public information on your Trade Me profile
On your Trade Me profile, other people can see your:
- username
- first name
- month and year joined
- closest town.
We don’t share any other information until you trade with someone. Learn more in our Privacy policy.
Make changes to your profile
To edit your Trade Me profile on the Trade Me website:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Under ‘Update my details’, select My Profile.
3. Fill in as much as you like. Don’t include your contact details.
4. To upload a photo, select the existing photo to upload a new one.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Profile & Account.
3. Select View Profile.
4. Select Edit.
You can change your photo, name, and selling location in the iOS app. For other fields on your profile, head to trademe.co.nz in your browser.
