Jobs Jackpot giveaway terms and conditions
Acceptance of these terms & conditions: Jobs Jackpot giveaway (Giveaway) is run by Trade Me Limited (Trade Me). By entering into the Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not enter the Giveaway and you are not eligible to redeem the Prize. Trade Me reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the Giveaway or the Prize at any time, without notice to you.
1. Eligibility: Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who (i) are 18 years and over, and (ii) have an active Trade Me membership AND a Trade Me Jobs Profile. Directors and staff of Trade Me, its related bodies corporate and any agencies or companies associated with Trade Me or the Giveaway are not eligible to enter.
2. Giveaway period: The Giveaway opens at 7:00 am on Monday, 27 July (NZST) and closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday, 9 August 2026 (NZST) (Closing Time).
3. How to enter: To enter to win, you must complete any of the 4 steps on Trade Me Jobs before the Closing Time (an Entry).
- Watchlist a job
- Save a search (must be new)
- Create a job profile (if one doesn’t exist)
- Upgrade job profile from Bronze or Silver to Gold
Each step counts for 1 entry.
1 watchlist = 1 entry.
5 watchlists = 1 entry.
5 watchlists ≠ 5 entries.
Each account can either qualify for 3 entries - if already a Trade Me member or 4 entries if new to Trade Me during the Giveaway period.
4. Prize: There will be five winners. Each winner (Winner) will receive $1,000 (Prize). The Prize will be credited to a nominated bank account. Trade Me will decide, in its sole discretion, which Prize the Winner will receive.
5. Winner notification and announcement: Trade Me will select the Winners from all eligible Entries at random and notify them by email and/or by phone using the contact details on their Trade Me account. Trade Me reserves the right to select another winner if an initial Winner does not respond within 72 hours of notification. Trade Me’s decision regarding Winners is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Publicity: Entrants agree that their name, and content related to their Entry and a description of their Prize (if applicable) may be published on Trade Me’s social media, within email marketing or on Trade Me’s websites.
7. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade Me shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any Prize winner resulting from their entry into the Giveaway or receipt or use of the Prize (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). Trade Me’s liability to any entrant or Winner will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to the value of the Prize
8. Other terms: The Trade Me terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) apply with all necessary modifications to the Giveaway and (if relevant) the use of any Prize.
9. Privacy Act: Trade Me will collect and hold personal information such as name, phone number and email address in order to notify you if you win, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Facebook/Meta/Instagram/TikTok: The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook/Meta/Instagram/TikTok. Entrants release Facebook/Meta/Instagram/TikTok from any liability associated with the Giveaway or the Prize.
