Trade Me Motors Lock It In Promotion & Unlimited Inventory terms and conditions

1. General Baseline Unlimited Inventory Privileges

  • 1.1 Promotion Window: All active New Zealand licensed motor vehicle dealers across all categories (including Cars, Bikes, Boats, Marine, Transport, Farming & Machinery, Caravans & Motorhomes) listed on a Trade Me Motors package are granted Unlimited Inventory privileges from the commencement of this promotion through to December 31, 2026.
  • 1.2 Eligibility Requirements: To maintain active eligibility for the baseline Unlimited Inventory privileges through December 31, 2026, a dealership must strictly maintain their current package tier and vehicle limit as of April 1, 2026.
  • 1.3 Revenue Protection Provision: Any voluntary downward adjustment of a dealership’s vehicle limit or package tier initiated by the dealer prior to December 31, 2026, will cause an immediate and automatic forfeiture of all Unlimited Inventory privileges. Upon forfeiture, standard vehicle limit overage fees and standard listing caps will instantly apply.

2. "Lock It In" Upgrade Promotion & Price Deferral

  • 2.1 Promotional Offer: Eligible dealers who upgrade their package to any higher package prior to September 15, 2026, are eligible to enter the "Lock It In" Promotion. The Upgrade must be initiated to be effective from October 01st 2026 at the latest.
  • 2.2 Rate Card Price Deferral: Dealerships successfully entering the "Lock It In" Promotion will have the standard October 1, 2026 rate card price increase completely waived for their newly upgraded package. The dealer will be billed at the rate card that was offered from 1 July 2025 - 30 September 2026 year rate card applicable to that upgraded package. This lower pricing is guaranteed and locked until June 30, 2027.
  • 2.3 Promotional Unlimited Inventory Extension: Dealerships qualifying under Section 2.1 will receive a 6-month extension to their Unlimited Inventory privileges, moving their expiration milestone from December 31, 2026, out to June 30, 2027.

3. Continuous Compliance, Account Restrictions, & Forfeiture Clauses

  • 3.1 Maintaining Package and Vehicle Limit: To retain both the deferred rate card pricing (Section 2.2) and the extended Unlimited Inventory privileges (Section 2.3) through to June 30, 2027, the participating dealership must continuously maintain their upgraded package and their vehicle listing limit as of June 13th, 2026.
  • 3.2 Credit Control & Invoice Compliance: Dealerships must maintain their Trade Me Motors account in good financial standing. If a dealer's account becomes restricted, suspended, or locked at any point due to overdue invoices or credit control breaches, they will automatically and immediately forgo the promotion, losing all associated price deferrals and inventory privileges.
  • 3.3 Default Penalties: If a dealership requests or executes a downgrade of either their package tier or their designated vehicle listing limit at any point during the promotional window (October 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027), the dealership automatically and instantly voids their promotional status.
  • 3.4 Immediate Commercial Adjustment: Upon defaulting under Section 3.2 or 3.3, the dealership will immediately:
    • Forgo all deferred pricing privileges, with billing automatically adjusting to the full, current standard rate card for their active package.
    • Forfeit all Unlimited Inventory privileges, reverting immediately to standard listing caps and standard overage fees.
  • 3.5 Exclusion of Re-entry: Entry into the "Lock It In" Promotion is a one-time opportunity. Dealerships that exit or forfeit their promotional status will revert to standard account terms and will not be eligible to reactivate promotional pricing or extended privileges for the remainder of the financial year ending June 30, 2027.
